Three years ago, I sat in a meeting room at one of the most known companies in the world, working in research. In a moment, I thought, "Wow, to the world I really have made it. All of my schooling and education has led me to this point. I make more money than I thought I'd be making at 25, but there has to be more to life than this.”

After much deliberation and prayer, I decided to quit my job and move from Seattle, WA to Redding, CA to attend the ministry school at Bethel Church. I put my career on the back burner to pursue a deeper relationship with God. It was a lot of sacrifice and honestly, a very humbling journey. Most people couldn't understand why I'd give up the abundance and comfort that my career provided to go on a pursuit for the more of God.

In my three years at Bethel, I learned that God is far closer than I could have ever known and that the world is absolutely starving for Jesus. I have gone out into the world on missions in the United States, England, Australia, Germany, and India, and I have found that everyone has a God-shaped hole in their heart. They try to fill it with anything but Jesus, until Jesus is introduced to them. I have found that absolutely nothing can fulfill a single soul except for Jesus—not a job, not a high income, not a relationship, not a promotion, not marriage, not a new identity—nothing.

Jesus came to the earth and said, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6), whoever comes to me shall not hunger and whoever believes in me shall not thirst (John 6:35).” If you have been lost, hungry, or thirsty, I know someone who gave up His life for you that you may be found, fed, and filled. Don’t let the world lie to you that you can find fulfillment in anything else, I’ve tried.
